Summary: Monitor, document and notify all Food Safety/Quality and Food Security aspects of Juice Processing, packaging stores, Facility and Personnel to ensure that GMP;s , food regulatory and product specifications are met including;

Duties:

·         Product testing at all stages of Processing and Packaging

·         Lab equipment operations, maintenance and calibration.

·         Raw Material, WIP and Finished Goods Holds/Releases for shipments.

·         Plant/Process/Equipment Sanitation Monitoring/Notification.

o   Sanitation CIP being done and documented according to schedule with notifications of deviations.

o   Monitor scheduled titrations to check chemical levels for CIP cleaning and sanitizing compounds.

o   Auditing, documenting with notification of facility sanitation & GMP’s

·           Plant/Process/Equipment monitors all normal Production functions with documentation.  Note and notify all deviations to Plant Manager and Quality Management including;

o   Processing

o   Incoming raw materials (including juice concentrates, cleaning chemicals and incoming water, etc) – Sampling, Brix, Color, Acidity, Microbiological, flavor, Receipt documentation and data recording, exception notification.

o   WIP- monitor and document Brix, Color, Flavor, Micro, Processing parameters including CIP, Pasteurization records, cooler temperatures, product temperature, acid (titration), release for packaging.

o   Finished Goods- Packaging and date codes, sampling, leak detection, product brix, micro, color, and flavor.

o   Processing Equipment, packing lines, coolers, freezers- Cleanliness, key function parameters, temperatures.

o   Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED minimum.  Prefer Associates or B.S. with some science background.  Must read and write English well and have basic math skills.  Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills:

Microsoft Office – Word, Excel 1-5 years experience in a food QC or similar (chemical, Pharma) laboratory.
