From the day we opened our first store in Chicago in 1962 to the digital innovations that engage millions of customers today, our iconic brand is nearly 60 years in the making—and our story is still unfolding.The Furniture Assembler uses hand tools to put together furniture pieces.A day in the life as a Furniture Assembler...Assembles and adjusts furniture with hand tools - installing parts and hardwareDetermines sequence of operations required to assemble furniture itemsCleans, dust, and/or polishes furniture and glass partsInspects furniture pieces to verify and record completeness, damages, defects, and functionalityPerforms light touch-ups and repairs to correct minor defectsDetermines which pieces meet quality standards, marks all damages and defects for further repairs, and moves pieces to designated staging areasCleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areasRotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the businessParticipates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the positionPerforms all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goalsWhat you'll bring to the table…Mechanical aptitude to assemble furniture piecesPossess a complete understanding of training and communication resources relevant to the positionMaintains an awareness of loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines as outlined in the Company Code of Conduct and Associate Policy manualsGood communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAttention to detailBasic English Language proficiencyWe'd love to hear from you if you have…1+ years previous related work experienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentEuromarket Designs, Inc., which does business as Crate and Barrel and CB2, will be referred to as "the Company".
